Mile Square Park

The weather has been absolutely beautiful the last few days so my Sister and I really wanted to get the kids out of the house! We decided that lunch and a walk around Mile Square Park was going to be a perfect way to spend our day! Whitney's friend Kim and her son Cameron decided that they wanted to join in our fun in the sun too! We picked up lunch, found a place to park and made our way to a picnic table near a playground. The kids would hardly eat their lunch because all they wanted to do was play. I mean who would want to with the huge play ground in front of them! We laid out a blanket that Matt and I played on while Whitney and Kim took the kids to run a muck. They climbed up and down and road the slide over and over again while Matt and I soaked up the sun!
My Poody & Me!

She loves the slide!

Now remember I told you that Grace lets me know when she has gone to the bathroom....Too funny!!!

My child literally has no fear! She was climbing the ladder to do the monkey bars and climbing on anything she could balance on. Now this park has a spinney slide that is HUGE! Where normal slides only loop you around once, this one loops you three times! Whitney took Grace and Cameron down it once on her lap and after that we couldn't get Grace off of it! She took off and climbed it all by herself before they could stop her so all we could to was hold our breath and she did great! Of course when we wanted it on video it took a little push in the right direction, but I needed to be able to show Eddie what she did!

My brave little one!

After wearing themselves out running around we wanted them to cool down a little so we put them all on the swings for a nice relaxing ride! Grace has always been a huge fan of the swings and Matt is no different! We need to work on getting a swing set in our back yard!
Oh NO! Too high!

Happy Boy!

When the kids had relaxed enough we loaded them up and took them for a walk across the park to the lake where they could see the ducks and throw them a few snacks. The kids were all in aw of the ducks! Cameron enjoyed throwing them food, Grace ate the snacks we gave her to throw and Matt just watched them. Now you aren't supposed to feed the ducks but we just throw a few Puffs at them. Well let me tell you, every duck in the park came flying over and these ducks are gutsy!! The walked right up to you and darn near took the food from your hand!
Trying to get Grace to share her snacks with the ducks!

They were getting ready to charge!

Beautiful day at the park!

We took a few pictures and then it was nap time, so we headed back to the car for a quite ride home. It was such a nice day spent in the park. The kids got to burn some energy off and we got to enjoy our beautiful weather! Next step, power walking around the park after our picnic while the kiddos nap!
