Pumpkin Carving

After waiting all week we finally got to carve our pumpkin last night! Jake and Sarah came over to join us and brought all their hard core carving tools! They get really into carving and their pumpkins turn out so amazing!!
She loved the big pumpkin!

Once Eddie got our top cut open we let Grace go to town digging the insides out. At first she just kind of stared at it then she would slowly stick her hand in and touch it. She made some funny faces because of the slim and strings on the inside but she had a great time.

One of the tools that Jake and Sarah brought over where these shovel things to scrap the insides out with. She had a ball with that! She dug on the inside of our pumpkin and Sarah's pumpkin and just walked around with it. Unfortunately she stuck it in her mouth a few times, which was gross and made a mess, but it didn't faze her at all!

Once we got them all cleaned out and the boys got the "faces" drawn on they went to town on with their electric knives that made the work so much easier. The pumpkins came out sooooo good!!! And I think everyone had a great time, I know Grace did!! Can't wait for next year!!!
