Atlantis Park

Eddie has been going out of town a whole lot these days for work, and we miss him so much while he is gone. While we were hanging out at home this morning doing normal weekend stuff we were trying to think of something run and relaxing we could do as a family this afternoon. It was a nice day out and so we thought that a picnic and the park would be an awesome way hang out together. Once we were ready we starting talking about which park to go to. Ann reminded me of a park we use to go to as kids called Atlantis park when she took Sky there earlier this year. There is a dollar fee to get in, but it is really big and green with tons of space to run and play. It also has an ocean theme, hence the name Atlantis, so all of the things to play on are ocean animals. We packed up our car, stopped at Subway to pick up lunch and headed to the park. When we got in we found a nice shady spot to lay our blanket out and enjoyed our picnic lunch. It was so nice to just sit and talk with Eddie. We haven't done that a lot lately. We have just both been busy, and when we do have the time we are too tired. This was a nice and relaxing conversation that we got to sit down and talk about out plans for the next year. This last year has gone by so fast and we want to make sure that we are on the same track so that if next year gets crazy we already have a plan. We also got to talked about the future. Buying a house, vacations we are going to take, and when we are going to start trying for our next child. I get so excited to think about the fact that I am an adult and get to experience and plans exciting things like that. Needless to say we had a really great lunch and discussion, but now it was time to play! My sister and Suzie met us after lunch to play. We set Grace free and just let her run. Run through the grass, up and down hills just letting her explore however she wanted.

She rode on the swings, slid down slides, played on the jungle gyms and rode on the springy toys.

She slide out a whales mouth!

Auntie & Her Tid!

She kept going back to ride these!

They have this slide that is in the shape of a BIG serpent and it was my favorite when I was a kid. I couldn't wait for Grace to be able to go on it. She is still a little too small to do things like this by herself so we sent Auntie down it with her because it is a pretty big slide, at least for little kids.
The best slide EVER!

She had such a great time smiling and laughing and just running a muck! I can't wait to spend another afternoon there!
